Hello All, Well it’s been a busy few weeks to report on.
First things first, a huge thank you to everyone who stopped at our regional stand at Newby Hall to say hello, try their luck on the tombola or shelter from the (not too frequent this year) rain. As hopefully you all noticed from the stand this year’s chosen supported charity is Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity. Based in Sheffield and supporting the whole region and beyond, they have provided and continue to provide care to a number of our regions members so it’s our turn to say thanks in return. Next in line came our annual BBQ. Believe it or not we actually got good weather and we have the photos to prove it. It was good to see friends old and new on the night.
Date for your diary - Club night is on the 21st this month and we will be presenting our donation to a representative from Weston Park. We will also have Andrew Jeffery from Hatfields along to give us a talk. September is the month for our weekend away. Please contact Maurice or David for details or check the website www.jecsouthyorks.co.uk for updates. Speaking of which, if you’ve not visited the site for a while, have a look. Whilst I’m still a bit like Bambi with training wheels on, hopefully you will see an improvement over the coming months. Feedback and suggestions are welcome.
